Healthy looking radiant skin is not far away with the huge array of available product options that can be used to achieve it. Though this a quick fix, it’s possible to have a naturally glowy skin and even enhance the impact of this sheen filled make up look with daily skin care routine that is taking care of skin pores, exfoliating regularly to keep the dull complexion away, drinking enough water and a well rested face as you know always looks plumped and so on.
This look is minimal and is about lit-from-within glow. Hence, it’s important to use cream/balm and liquid based products. The following steps will give you that all-over post-spa luminosity.
- The first step is to prep the skin intensely. Clean your face well with a cleanser that is for your skin type and that won’t dry the face too much.
- Then, hydrate the face either with a moisturising face mask (a sheet mask preferably) or dab on your usual skincare serum on the whole face followed by a super hydrating moisturiser or face oil. Avoid face oil if you have oily skin. You can dab off any extra greasiness from the face with a tissue.
- Next, we have to slowly build up the glow. So for that, mix a lightweight shimmery primer with a light coverage foundation of your shade or apply the primer first and then foundation; depends on how you prefer. Follow this step with a cream based concealer for under eyes and around the lip area.
- Now, add a cream based or liquid blusher for the flushed cheeks effect. Go for a colour that just brightens up the face.
- Now, apply a creamy eye shadow. You could dab some gloss over it for that extra sheen. This will create that balmy shine. You can find these tinted multipurpose tinted balms from various brands (name of products mentioned at the bottom of the post) that you can use on the eyes, cheeks and lips for a more monotone effect. Shades for this look can range from berry hues to soft pink to peach.
- Add a few drops of liquid highlighter and blend it really well for that luminous, well-defined radiant finish. Focus on the light reflecting places on your face like cheekbones, brow bones, temples, bridge of the nose and cupid’s bow. You can build it up or down by blending with your fingertips or the right brush. Remember not to over do it and not to use a powder based highlighter.
- To complete the look, brush up the brows with a fixing brow gel (you can subtly draw any bit of it that you would like to build up before brow gel), pump up the lash volume with a voluminous mascara.
- Lastly, make that pout and dab on some lip tint that will give a subtle sheen. It’s a good idea to use lip gloss on top of your lip colour for a glass like finish. You can play up or down the look with the colour you opt for. Don’t go for lipgloss or lipstick that is too sticky in texture.
- Now set the make up with a hydrating setting spray for a healthy glow boost and for a long lasting makeup.
